Radiologic Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:The primary role of a radiologic technologist (also called an x-ray technologist or radiographer) is using x-ray equipment to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels and administering radiation therapy treatments. 

Salary: A Radiologic Technologist with mid-career experience which includes employees with 5 to 10 years of experience can expect to earn an average total compensation of $48,000 based on 1,052 salaries. An experienced Radiologic Technologist which includes employees with 10 to 20 years of experience can expect to earn an average total compensation of $52,000 based on 773 salaries.

Education:Radiology Technician Educational Requirements There is a variety of formal training programs available to future radiology technicians. They may earn certificates, associate's degrees or bachelor's degrees in radiology to be eligible for employment in the U.S.; however, most radiology technicians enter the career with associate's degrees.
