Duties and Responsibilities:A radiation oncologist is a specialist physician who uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer. Radiation oncology is one of the three primary specialties, the other two being surgical and medical oncology, involved in the treatment of cancer.
Salary: the average pay for an R.O. ranges from $350,00-$390,000 per year
Education:Our educational opportunities include residency programs in radiation oncology and medical physics, certificate programs in radiation therapy and medical dosimetry, and graduate and postdoctoral training in physics, computer science, biomedical engineering and cancer biology.
